Oxygen and Respiratory Home Care medical equipment falls into three primary categories; compressed oxygen, oxygen concentrators and nebulizers.

Compressed Oxygen

Compressed oxygen cylinders come in a variety of sizes to meet specific needs. Smaller cylinders are quite portable and can be carried with a shoulder strap, on a wheelchair or on a walker.

Larger cylinders can be carried on a wheelchair or on a cart, or can be used as stationary unit.

Oxygen Concentrators

Oxygen Concentrators take oxygen out of the room's air to deliver a flow of air with a higher oxygen content than standard room air.

New systems are being introduced which combine a compressor with a patient's oxygen concentrator to fill small compressed oxygen tanks in the home or office. This gives ambulatory patients independence and freedom while eliminating service calls to fill oxygen tanks.

Nebulizers

Nebulizers deliver medications directly to the lungs. The type of nebulizer appropriate for a particular patient and medication will be prescribed by the physician.

Regardless of the type prescribed, many come in various models, from stationary units which work with compressed oxygen and concentrator units, to highly portable units which will plug into your car lighter.
